Calum Merry, originally from Seattle, is a talented visual effects compositor currently employed at Foxtrot X-Ray, a prestigious firm specializing in high-end visual effects and motion design. Holding a BA degree with a focus on Film and Media Production from Arizona State University, Calum's expertise lies in VFX compositing. Within Foxtrot X-Ray, he serves as a compositor and on-set VFX supervisor. Calum has gained recognition for his remarkable contributions to various projects, including KillHer, The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster, and All the Dragons, among others.

During his college years, Calum discovered his passion for the world of visual effects, particularly in perfecting and enhancing previously filmed shots. He ensures their quality and incorporates special effects, employing a range of editing techniques. Committed to staying at the forefront of the field, Calum continually expands his skill set by diligently staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in VFX software. By harnessing cutting-edge technologies, he optimizes the VFX editing process, saving time and resources.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Calum's upbringing in the Pacific Northwest has instilled in him a deep appreciation for nature. An avid outdoorsman, he delights in activities like hiking, backpacking, and skiing. Additionally, Calum possesses a keen eye for capturing the beauty of the natural world through his photography endeavors.

Having dual US and Canadian citizenship, Calum was more than thrilled about the opportunity to represent Foxtrot X-Ray in Vancouver, BC, as the company expands!
